Why did I choose the topic of Portugal?

Answer: Because I'm going to solo backpack Portugal and I chose this topic in order to help me plan and show my family some information on the country (my mother and grandmother are worried).After a lot of web browsing, I found it rated by other backpackers to be one of the safest places for solo female backpackers. Portugal is also relatively affordable compared to other European countries, with great history, wonderful creative spaces, an active nightlife, and plenty of sunshine. They sport a wide selection of wines, cultural events, delicious foods, and multiple forms of transportation.

I've saved up for 6 years doing various odd jobs, plasma donations, clinical studies, and selling items online. I've finally reached my goal and I can't wait to start jotting my adventures down in my adventure journal! I was originally going to go with friends but they backed out, so I'm flying solo and figuring it out as I go so I can backpack again in the future.
